Kenya Seed Company

Kenya's flagship certified seed company, incorporated in 1956 in the breadbasket town of Kitale under the Kenya Seed Act and now a state corporation. From its Trans Nzoia headquarters it develops, multiplies and distributes certified seed across the country's agro-ecological zones — the original pasture-seed mission having grown into maize, vegetable and other crop varieties, with the Simlaw Seeds vegetable brand acquired in 1979.
