Makueni Fruit Processing Plant

County-built fruit factory at Kalamba turning Makueni's mango bumper harvests into value: five tonnes of raw mango an hour become about 3,000 litres of puree on its original line, joined by a newer ready-to-drink line and tomato pulping as the county diversifies. The plant has channelled income to more than 12,000 farming families and is backed by a Sh110 million development grant.
